I love this city, and it just breaks my heart when people talk down about it … especially if they are not from the Detroit area.
Saw Manchester Orchestra at State Theatre this past Tuesday. They definitely killed it. I was happy to see Andy was having a good time, I feel like it has been a long while. In any case, there were a million photographers in the pit that night, so start posting your photos people!!

Last night the Kickstarter project for building a Robocop statue in Detroit passed its $50,000 goal. This is really happening. We present you this humble artist rendering.

Disclaimer: There is a good possibility that I’ve posted this song in the past, so I apologize.
I thoroughly enjoy this band. If you haven’t heard of them, I feel that you are missing out on something that is truly amazing. I’ve yet to see them live. Thankfully I may be able to remedy that since they are playing Detroit on August 13 at the Magic Stick. Not only do I love this band, but the Magic stick is my favorite venue in Detroit. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it out to this show. If anybody out there in tumblr world is going let me know so I can say hi.
